I've been to Nebraska a number of time but never heard of this museum. Of course, I was mainly going to Omaha and that's a long ways from Chadron. Thanks for sharing!!

I just returned from a Mountain Man Rondy
The Museum of the Mountain Man, Pinedale, WY is really interesting to see, but it's not near anything. You really have to want to go there.


The former summer home of Frank Phillips, Woolaroc, Bartlesville, OK has an annual camp. Already over for this yr. Perhaps that's where you were at?

I was at the Pacific Primitive Rendezvous, this year it was in the NE part of Oregon:

The real purists are the American Mountain Men
The American Mountain Men – A Brotherhood of Men

They often come to this and also have their own events.

Lots of places have local black powder clubs that have their own events, often a weekend rondy or so. Ask around in your area!
