Blowfish have a round/oblong -ish shape and are supposed to be asymmetrical.

Not to me, but the shape standards set out by its creator, Lars Ivarsson. Cross cut, asymmetrical straight grain.
They don't have to be oblong at all, but the asymmetry, cross cut, and straight grain are a must. Otherwise they just tend to look like a yo-yo.

I like how asymmetrical pipes feel in hand. Almost like they were carved specifically for my hand. A fugu blowfish I got from Bruce Weaver years ago seems as if it was formed inside of my palm.

I was trying to avoid using the term yo-yo but that's exactly what some of them look like.
I had initially requested for that one to be sandblasted, but after seeing the grain Bruce couldn't bring himself to do it. I got to see it go from block to pipe firsthand.
The Tsuge metal blowfish is just that.
