Carter Hall, if you can find it. SWR is ok too. Half & Half, if you don't mind too much flavor. Granger doesn't come in pouch any more, but it's also flavor heavy. But better than H&H to me.

Hitting the wilderness soon for a couple of days and I want to keep things simple with a Cob pipe and Pouch tobacco. I've only had Captain Black original and I wanted to know what pouch tobacco you would recommend?

Why not just double ziploc bag any tobacco you want? Pouch, tin, or otherwise?

Not silly at all. What is silly is my intense desire to start calling pouch tobacco "marsupial" tobacco instead. ???

Never tried Amphora but I have a couple of Amphora pipes that were my father-in-law’s. Thinking of getting some just to smoke in them.

It’s not a bad blend (full aroma). The Burley Blend is the best one I’ve tried from amphora. I think you would like that one.

Amphora Burley or Amphora Kentucky Blend. Five Brothers if you want to feel the nicotine, but not to an obscene extent. Tobacco tins also pack and travel well.
