Got as far as HH Burley Flake and stopped. Need I go any further? The only issue I have with Burley Flake is trying to get hold of it.

That is a nice thought Sean.Keep going. There is a whole magical world of Burley out there![]()
@marconi Thanks for the PS41 cube cut burley you sent me as part of your tobacco package last year to smoke in my clay pipes.Got as far as HH Burley Flake and stopped. Need I go any further? The only issue I have with Burley Flake is trying to get hold of it.
Amphora Burley, Solani Aged Burley Flake, and Five Brothers.Got as far as HH Burley Flake and stopped. Need I go any further? The only issue I have with Burley Flake is trying to get hold of it.
They don't sell that blend on smokingpipes.I did try PS41 cube cut liked it for a while then it became too sweet. Keeping an eye out for Wessex burley slices.I think my palate is changing Iam smoking more Va/bur blends like Revor plug that is moving my taste. If you have not tried it HH Burley Flake is a great blend I would smoke it regularly if it was easily availableGive ps 312 toasted burley and Wessex burley slice a try. Those two were game changers for me. Burley is still a once In a while smoke for me but at least I appreciate the flavor profile now.

Paul I like Amphoras I prefer the Kentucky.I have the Burley and an1oz of Golden extra they are not bad a few rough edges as our resident guru might sayPerhaps some Amphoras especially their Burley and Original Blends or Mc Barens Golden Extra would do the trick, except for Amphora Burely Blend these two are lighter
I will send you some more samples after Easter when you are back on the pipe.@marconi Thanks for the PS41 cube cut burley you sent me; I enjoyed smoking it in my clay pipes.
You are absolutely right I have found that with other C&D blends time in the jar is needed. Butera, Esoterica are age old myths,no one has actually seen a tin.If you can find it Butera Kingfisher my speak to your VaBurley. It is probably easier to find in the UK. I will say that with the C&D burlies like Haunted Bookshop and OJk I’m am rarely every blown away by the 1st bowl and need to “smoke in” the tin. Plus a little age makes a big difference. A lot of C&D comes fresh because they sell quickly and really are a small batch operation.
Don't scare me with that Five Brothers, that's a mans smoke .Not for us Burley light weights.Iam still recovering from the Haunted Bookshop I had.Amphora Burley, Solani Aged Burley Flake, and Five Brothers.
Just the first two, then! I can also appreciate Pegasus, though it's not a favorite of mine. It does have its fans.Don't scare me with that Five Brothers, that's a mans smoke .Not for us Burley light weights.Iam still recovering from the Haunted Bookshop I had.
Why are you limited to buying from smoking pipes? I do enjoy HH but not as much as the others mentioned. hh burley is readily available on SP and most other websites when I check. It’s up on so now in all weightsThey don't sell that blend on smokingpipes.I did try PS41 cube cut liked it for a while then it became too sweet. I can't speak for Marconi, but as an adamant fan of this forum, I feel obligated to support only the businesses that support keeping this forum open. I wish all of the others well, but I just prefer to spend my money at places where I know that a little of it comes back to the community. Why are you limited to buying from smoking pipes?
@marconi Many thanks, shame there probably won't be any reenactment this year!I will send you some more samples after Easter when you are back on the pipe.
