I have a tin I am going to crack open. I feel pretty excited I can tell at worst it's going to be very good at best it's going to be a constant bulk buy.

I like it a lot when I want a Burley hit, which is a change of pace for me. This may be sacrilege, but I like it better than ODF. Take this with a spill of salt; I'm typically a VA or Balkan smoker, so I don't claim to have a good palate for Burley.

I too enjoy it over ODF. I get more of a BBQ from Bold Kentucky, which plays to my palate more.
I got nothing to offer other than the fact that I am looking forward to trying it. I just discovered ODF and reinvented pipe smoking for me.
Another in the same vein you may enjoy is HH Rustica.
Why would it be sacrilege, you're palate is yours, and taste is too subjective for anyone to tell you what's better than the next. Enjoy that BK!
I am also in the camp that I prefer it over ODF. Both have their place for me.
I love all the HH stuff. Well, I like Latakia Flake and love the rest.
It is not as interesting as the ODF, but is still a great smoke.
I always get a nice nic hit from Bold Kentucky. Try it with a small pipe before you fill your magnum.
It may be just me, as I no longer get the big buzz from the Gawith ropes, etc but still do with this one.
It's a great smoke if you want to get the job done in half the time.
I sometimes mix 10-20% of this into other blends to add some kick, Rattray's Exotic Passion, for instance.
I tend to slightly "over-dry" it for best outcome.

I agree, Rustica has great flavor. Is it still for sale anywhere? I thought it was a limited run for the US.
I believe P&C has some left. Iwan Ries also but they cost a bit more...course you would get it from them quickly.

Opinions? You’ll find one or two here. ODF & BK are two of my favorite blends, with the latter getting a slight nod just because I love DFK the way some guys love Virginias. All of my home blends have DFK as the base.

…….is there an issue with P&C? ...don't believe I've ever purchased anything from them...
well it sounds like their customer service is second to none but certainly fifth or sixth from almost anyone else. They don't seem to have a strong interest in making things right when they go wrong.

I have tried all of the HH blends except Rustica and Bold Kentucky they are all excellent blends and live up to the hype. ODF R/R has brought many near dead virginias back to life.
I haven't tried too many actually just the latakia flake which is awesome.
