I'm intrigued by those blends, but wonder if the old-timer pitch amounts to anything. I guess I should review the constituent tobaccos in the blends and read a review or two. Reconstituted blends from the past, which these seem to be, are sometimes on the mild side, if that's what you like. If you like a little more pizzazz, they may not work for you.

The back story is nice but these blends can definitely stand on their own.

I’ll second the thumbs up for Blairgowrie. It’s a really well done Scottish mixture.

MSO, I think you'd go for Inns of Court. It's an excellent burley oriented blend that I think would fall into your flavor profile. It's good stuff.
