Yeah it’s a great idea, especially with the blends being sold in sealed mylar bags (also a classy move for “bulk” sales). Can’t complain about the free shipping either.

Just finished my first bowl of Sweet Muffin. A nice little mild, very easy smoking aro. Not goop by any means, but certainly topping driven, although the underlying tobaccos are substantive. Wouldn’t bite if its leg were caught in a trap.

A pleasant no fuss aromatic thats not a goopfest. Would be a great blend to smoke while doing yardwork or other mildly active chores.

I have a 1/2 pound of Verge Engine Overdrive coming from KBV. I did notice the option for labels and ordered some with the VEO, and now I know what to expect. Thanks for sharing. BTW, how is the Sakura?

I knew nothing of this man’s tobaccos until a few minutes ago. Looking at his site I find it refreshing and somewhat comical that some of his blends graphics look like techno album covers.

When I made my first order of Sakura, I had only seen him mentioned just minutes before.

You ordered from his first release? Not sure if I’m missing something but via his IG it seems like he will be releasing a second batch sometime. I like the fact if you only place an order for one bag his shipping is free.

First release was back in March. My first pound was from two weeks ago followed by an order of a second pound the day the first arrived. What's IG?

Instagram. Ken Byron has a fanboybase and they hang on his every post for hints at “drops”.

Can senior citizens still be considered be fan boys?

I’m curious to try his King’s Ransom but I certainly won’t be willing to pay with my body if it’s not available!

Ah, can't find a use for that one. Pipe forums are about as social network as I get.
It’s slightly annoying IMO because I don’t want to have to hang on every social network post hoping for hints or details on when tobacco will be released. I’ve had decent luck with people posting on here about blends. I also just check the site periodically and see what’s there. I’ve missed quite a bit though. However some are a little overpriced for what they are IMo. While others are a great deal for the price. Totally blend dependent. Like Byronic Slices? Totally worth the price. Sakura or even Fat Old Sun? Not sure that they are.

Can't bring myself to buy something called Byronic, but at $6/ounce, Sakura has become my new favorite tobacco. Considering that Jupiter Slices Full Slab is a sourced blend, I'm wondering if any of his blends are re-labeled. There was a guy tinning McClelland Red Cake years ago and calling it his own. C&D did the same thing at last year's Chicago pipe show with Oriental Silk calling it Virginia Oriental, and many thought it was an exclusive new blend.
