Whose Is A Fan Of The Acorn Shape?

For some reason I cannot get into that shape. It has a bulbous top that makes the pipe look unbalanced to my eye.I wished I liked it because thare are lots of carvers making them. So what is it that some of you like about the shape, maybe I could be a convert.

Harris, you like big ole shapes with lots of wood and thick walls to best fit your smoking style. I don't see this shape working for you. Stick with what works for you. This shape is too "dainty" for you. I do like the one chasingembers posted above, beautiful pipe.

Man, I don't own one but I sure do like the looks of them. The round shape looks like it would fit nicely in the palm. I don't tend to clench much so I like a nice round pipe to hold onto. It just looks really comfortable like an old pair of leather shoes.

Wholeheartedly agree. My (own wickedly subjective) opinion is that most acorn cutters should look at Sixtens design and go back to practicing billiards.

Sixten's design, while smooth and streamlined, is too reminiscent of Dr. Grabow for me.

They look like a nice shape to me. I wouldn't look at you weird if you were smoking one.

Now a Murmmert on the other hand? Some his designs are too out there for me.

Along with the cutty and dicken's anse, the acorn is one shape I find very fugly.
