  • Brian, you are my hero!
I think at next year’s Chicago show, you should display all of your Disney pipes and Disney tobacciana. That would be fantabulistic!
And yes, while everyone else was standing in line or paying extraordinary amounts for fresh McClellands… I was in the shadows buying vintage tins for less!

  • Well, hmmmm. I guess I just don’t like Thom Provost as a co-host. I get nothing from him.
I was some what surprised I didn’t like the music but if there’s a Gershwin song I really detest its “Summertime”. Another time Satchmo.
Really good rave about the good people in the pipe business. Kudos to Iwan Reis and Smokingpipes.com.
I’ll be interested to hear what you have to say about the Doctor/Master of pipes this year.

  • I enjoyed Thom’s co-hosting, and I thought your ingenuity with the McClelland’s lid was excellent. Great show, pleasant smokes!

  • I found the discussion of pipes and tobaccos with Thom very informative.
Pops’ intro to “Summertime” is simply masterful. I’m mystified by Dan’s “dissing” of the song, as I think that performance by Ella and Pops is an American classic.
I, too, want to sing the praises of Chuck Levi and his staff for the unbelievably generous consideration for our community, by selling the remaining stock of McClelland tobaccos at MSLP, rather than trying to make as much as possible by padding the prices. Bravo Iwan Ries folk!
Thanks for yet another fine program,
    Dino
