The Pipes Magazine Radio Show – Episode 229

Kevin Godbee
Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Our Featured Interview tonight is with Dean Thomsic. Dean is a pipe smoker that has been a roadie and electrical rigger traveling the world on tour with many different bands including Paul McCartney. He happened to be at the same New Years Eve’s party that Publisher Kevin Godbee attended, which is how he became tonight’s guest. In the Pipe Parts segment, Brian will do his best to explain the convoluted situation regarding the Dunhill brand name and that Dunhill cigars and pipe tobacco may be disappearing from the market. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!

Tonight’s show is sponsored by,, Cornell & Diehl, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.

We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.

  • Dean provided a fascinating story and a lively conversation.
Gina’s song and performance was absolutely fabulous! I shared it with all my friends.
A really nice tribute to MTM. And yes, let’s not throw out the baby with the bathwater, legislators.
A tip of the hat to Kevin for the Dean and Gina input, and to you for another fun show,

  • This show didn’t do much for me. The information on Dunhill tobaccos was interesting. And tipping the cap to the great MTM was really nice. Saw a clip the other day of her throwing out a first pitch at a Twins games. Did not realize she was a southpaw.
