Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Our Featured Interview tonight is with two members of the Indie Rock/Folk Rock band, Motherfolk. We will have a dual interview with Bobby Paver and Nathan Dickerson who both smoke pipes on a regular basis. In Pipe Parts Brian will give you his report on last weekend’s Kansas City Pipe Show, and also talk about switching over to summer smoking blends. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!
Tonight’s show is sponsored by Sutliff-Tobacco.com, CupOJoes.com, SmokingPipes.com, Missouri Meerschaum, 4noggins.com, Cornell & Diehl, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos, and MarketingPipes.com. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.
We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.

Hi Brian,
Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring….makes no difference, I stick to my Virginias. It sounds like you had a great time in Chicago, but I had a great time in Silver Springs, MD visiting my little granddaughter.
OF course you have mentioned motherfolk before. I have not met Nathan or Bobby. I see they will be coming to Pittsburgh. Be sure to visit Allegheny Smokeworks while in town. If you can make it, the Pgh Pipe Club meets the 2nd Saturday of the month at Allegheny Smokeworks 10-12 AM.
Music – Tune For Me was a nice selection.
Rant – Excuse me, but Barbecue is Barbecue.
Nice show.
Hi Brian!
I always enjoy the conversations you have with the “stars” on “Guest Star Day.” Those Motherfolkers were a lot of fun. And, their music is terrific.
As John says, the seasons don’t affect my tobacco choices. I’ve got tins open and concoctions brewing all over the place. There’s rarely rhyme or reason to what I decide to stuff in my pipe-of-the-day, least of all the weather.
It’s not like we Americans invented barbeque. One wonders, what was that tangy rub Gronk, in Cave No. 3, used on his Wildebeest ‘que?
Food is food; it’s either good or it’s bad.
‘Til Tuesday,
Dino
