Pipes Magazine Radio Show Episode 507

Pipes Magazine Radio Show Episode 507

Welcome to The Pipes Magazine Radio Show Episode 507! We have a different format for tonight’s show and it will be all about two pipe shows—”shows” as in organized conferences / get togethers. Brian just got back from the Chicago pipe show, and most of this episode will be a discussion on that. Brian will give us a run down on how he spent each day, and information on the new venue. Then we have four different show attendees that Brian talked to on the show floor to get their takes on the newly revived show. In the opening Pipe Parts segment you’ll hear about another pipe show. Brian and Dave Peterson (DaveinLAX) have taken over the West Coast Pipe Show and renamed it The Las Vegas International Pipe Show. Mark your calendars for October 21-23, 2022. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!

  • Listening to tonight’s show was like a cherry atop my Chicago Pipe Show experience. You did a wonderful job of capturing the excitement, camaraderie and variety of the event. As an old fart, the interviews with the younger attendees were inspiring and make me hopeful for our pipe community.
Thanks for playing Desi. It shows there is so much more than “Babalu” and “Cuban Pete” in this multi-talented artist’s musical repertoire.
I so totally agree about the food situation at the hotel. The food was superb, the service always pleasant and attentive, but the hours! Oy vey iz mir!
Nice atmospheric photo by Quincy. I love the Psycho Bunny shirt.
Thanks for an always entertaining show, and for the great chats and smokes in Chicago.

  • Just a great show with one glaring omission which I will get to. As I said fabulous show. You really picked a good line up of people to interview. That added a real “we were there” feeling.
I knew Desi was good but I didn’t realize he was that good. Good music!!
    Cool photograph of yourself.
Ok, the omission. Is it possible that a single Doctor of Pipes could at least tell us who was elected to the group?? I’ve never once asked this question of a DoP and gotten an answer yet. What is the matter with you guys?? Are you guys engaged in some kind of secret society that is planning god knows what?? I gather Jon David got elected so maybe he is young enough to remember.
