Pipes Magazine Radio Show Episode 394

Welcome to The Pipes Magazine Radio Show Episode 394! Our featured interview tonight is a return visit with Per Georg Jensen. Most pipe enthusiasts know Per from The Mac Baren Tobacco Co. Last time, we talked about Georg Jensen Pipes, the pipe company that Per’s father started in the ’50s, which Per still helps run. This time Brian and Per will talk tobacco for which they both have a vast amount of knowledge and experience. In Pipe Parts, we launch a new segment for tobacco and drink pairings, and who better to talk to than me, Kevin Godbee, imbiber-extraordinaire. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!

  • I love the drink pairing idea. Very good segment. The interview was a bit on the negative side, but it is good information to know. Great song choice this week. Stay healthy and sane through all of this insanity.

  • Another great episode. I only wish we would’ve heard more about the other tobaccos in the new blend aside from the ancient one. And what is it going to be called? Drink pairings were interesting. Satchmo is always great. I also really enjoyed the discussion on Friday in the bonus episode. Keep up the good work.

  • I wish Levine would stop “winging it”, and organize his interviews using an agenda. Impromptu discussions are homey, but with limited time, important points can be omitted inadvertently. Today he failed to ask Jensen what other tobacco leave is blended in with the new N. rustica product. Who wouldn’t want to know that?!!

  • Sometimes there are things you don’t want to ask in F these D restrictive A times (if you know what I mean)!

  • Vodka and watermelon might be a fine beverage but for me it would be akin to sacrilege.
Per, as usual, gave an excellent interview.
    Satchmo is never bad.
