Pipes Magazine Radio Show Episode 379

Welcome to The Pipes Magazine Radio Show Episode 379! Our featured interview tonight is with Bradley from the STUFFandTHINGS Channel on YouTube. Bradley does mostly tobacco reviews, and news, amongst other areas of interest, such as pens, and notebooks. The channel didn’t start out to be about pipe tobacco, but it evolved into being mostly that. He has an astounding 32.7k subscribers! In the Pipe Parts segment, Brian will discuss how bowl size and depth effects the experience you will have with different types of tobaccos. It’s kind of like different types of glasses for different types of wine. Pretty cool, right? Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!

  • The pipe parts segment was on a frequently overlooked part of pipe smoking. I don’t have a very good tasting apparatus and tend to keep puffing at all times but I do know that Virginias burn hotter than Englishes so they get a smaller bowl. Also Englishes may ghost a pipe and Virginias won’t so I have to keep Virginias to themselves.
Good interview with Bradley. He has the necessary gift of gab which makes his channel very enjoyable. Like most things there are good podcasters and there are bad ones. There’s Over a Pipe, Pipe and Tabak, London Calling Simon, Garbage Man Piper, and Canerodpiper, etc., are very good.
Burl Ives has an amazing voice though I prefer Gene Autry’s version of “Rudolph” but Burl does the song justice,

  • I enjoy Brad’s videos immensely, and so, really liked the “behind-the-scenes” conversation you guys had.
I agree with Dan. I, too, prefer The Singing Cowboy’s original version. I was a kid when it was first introduced, so it kinda holds a bit of nostalgic value.
    Happy Chanukkah!
    Thanks for another wonderful show,
    Dino
