Peterson Luxury Blend Pipe Tobacco Review

Peterson Luxury Blend Pipe Tobacco ReviewThe Peterson Luxury Blend has been one of my favorite pipe tobaccos for over five years. It’s a great mild-to-medium aromatic of high quality. With some aromatics I have found that the aromatic aroma doesn’t translate to the taste, and ironically only others within nose-shot end up enjoying the aroma. The Peterson Luxury Blend’s taste is just as sweet and smooth as the aroma.

This blend fulfills it’s promise of tasting like honey and vanilla, and the orange is in there too, but a little more subdued. It has some floral notes and it is sweet and tangy. There is also a lot of “real tobacco” taste in here as well. The smoke is cool and dry with no slurp. The blend is great for a daytime smoke and for new pipe smokers too. Cheap “drug-store” aromatics can impart a chemical taste and turn wet and goopy at the end of the smoke. Peterson’s Luxury blend burns down to a nice dry ash and it tastes as good as it smells. It can get a little hot, so take care to puff slowly.
The tin is densely packed, smells great, and the tobacco is of high quality. There are a lot of different colors that look to be of high quality upon looking in the tin. Upon lighting there is a faint taste of orange, and honey. The burly has the typical nutty flavor that compliments the earthy and a sweet VA tobacco. The vanilla starts to show up about mid bowl and adds the perfect balance to this impeccable blend. The bowl never gets too wet or hot, and the tobacco burns to a nice fine ash.
If you have a sweet-tooth, but don’t want to mess with the “kid-stuff”, and you want a great tasting high quality pipe tobacco, then Peterson’s Luxury Blend is for you.
