  • Hey Brian,
    Happy New Year!
Nice discussion on stem work and the button or end. Pretty complete discussion. While listening tonight I am smoking a Northern Briars Roxy cut ELX size billiard with a Cumberland stem with some F&T Cut Blended Plug that I purchased in 2001 – Most enjoyable, both the tobacco and the show.
I am looking forward to see the results of “Father the Flame”. The trailers are quite good. I saw the group at Chicago. Lee is a great mentor and a great pipe maker. You were most fortunate to meet him. Can’t wait until it becomes a reality.
You can’t go wrong with a good blues song. I liked it!
you forgot,,,and you should buy a fur coat (you only see these advertisements at Xmas) I guess you just don’t fit the “TV Proper IMage of the typical American”.
Keep up the good work, BRian.

  • Great show as usual. Please tell me that is not Molte Dolce in front of Brian in the picture. That would turn my world kind of upside down if so.

  • The discussion on stems and buttons. The Pipe Parts segment of the show continues to impress. I wish I could tell you what I am smoking but I am at work so I am not smoking anything.
The “Father of the Flame” guys have really bit off a tough nut in trying to do this film. They are looking to a group of people (pipe enthusiasts) who throw nickels around like they are man hole covers. To top it off their knowledge of the subject is rather light. I did find it interesting that they mentioned they were going to put Mark Ryan in the film. When I talked to the film crew at the 2013 Chicago Show they didn’t have the faintest idea who Mark Ryan is. They do seem to be very competent at their craft. The trailers they have released are outstanding.
Nothing but kudos to Kevin and Brian for be willing to help this guys out.

  • Rush looks like a cool dude. I hope this project gets finished. Will be a great this for the pipe community.
