I'm glad I stocked up very well before it was gone. At the same time I doubt I have enough to last me a life time. I also stocked up on 3 Oaks Syrian before it was gone.

Yeah, I have around thirty tins left. If they start selling for $100/tin though, may have to sell.

    I wish I had thirty. I believe I have 15.

It was a good blend, though not a fave for me. I've got Syrian Latakia and aged Yenidje blending tobaccos stored so I can tweak to my heart's content.

Anyways, let the games continue. Among the other eBay listings is McClelland 40th Anniversary blend, which is still available in stores.

It's my understanding that the 40th is not a limited edition. Like the other anniversary pipe tobacco from McClellands, the 40th will stay in production. Have you heard/read different? Thanks.

That's correct, which is why I find such listings amusing.

Compared to the stuff that he has for sale and has sold, he's got his tin of Highlander priced low.

I've heard that the 40th Anniversary will be produced for as long as they have the tobacco stock to do so. I don't know if that means that they have a finite amount to work with, or if they will be adding to the stock.

I had no idea this tobacco was discontinued. I just went through a tin a couple months back. Maybe I should have held onto it for trade value oh well, it was a good smoke!

Christmas Cheer used to be released during summer and the first shipment would inevitably sell out, but it would be restocked a couple of times before December.

Anyways, a tin of 2016 or 2017 CC showed up on ebay after that first shipment sold out everywhere, and irc it sold for much more than MSRP, only to appear back in stores a short time later.
