I personally like to sit on the porch with a good book and a blanket (depending on how chilly it is) when I smoke outside which is most often than not. When I am inside, I like to watch some television or maybe play a video game. What about you guys and gals?

Reading a book or a website on my tab, or just listening to music. Depends really on the mood and the place, so reading would occur more if i am smoking outdoor and listening to music or even watching TV would be in case if I smoked indoor.

Well, today I went through about 1/2 a dozen bowls of 5 brothers and a couple of irish twist while tearing down and rebuilding some chainsaws on my dining room table (YES, I AM SINGLE!!!:) ). Tomorrow, I'll be putting the top end of a Ford 1 ton back together (had a blown head gasket and a couple of burned valves) and expect to go through about 1/2 a dozen bowls of irish twist and a couple bowls of 5 brothers (I prefer the brown irish when I'm outside, don't ask me why).

I'm on a college campus with ALOT of fellow pipe/cigar smokers (six who I smoke with on a regular basis) so I almost always smoke "socially." I actually can't remember the last time I lit up by myself. So I guess my favorite during smoking activity is conversation. I absolutely love the way smoke contributes to laid back, intelligent/humorous and enjoyable interaction with others. That said, when I'm back home in summer, having a couple bowls or a cigar on the open front porch with a book and/or a drink for quiet solitary relaxation is absolutely wonderful. Next season, I'm going to see how hunting and smoking at the same time works.

While I'm puffing, I like to read the paper or a good book, play online chess (helps me relax and think before I make my next stupid move) and read some of the ingenius posts on this forum.

I also enjoy reading this forum, and an occasional game while I'm smoking a pipe. But I guess what I really enjoy the most, is to just sit back, think about the smoking pleasure, what went on that day, or what needs to happen the next day.

Depends, usually you can find me in my garage with a good book or surfing this website. The only other time I smoke is when I am setting up/cleaning up a night club since smoking is allowed indoors. You won't find me smoking outside, it's just not pleasant to me so why waste the baccy?

I'm with those who do nothing but smoke (and think) when I'm smoking a pipe. Since I'm finishing up a novel at the moment, I often find myself working through scenes in my head, coming up with bits of dialogue. But usually when I smoke a pipe, I like to keep my full attention on the pipe and tobacco.

Harris, Harris!!! TMI brother!!! I'm getting a mental image and I think it's going to scar me for life!!! I like to just read or watch the world go by as I sit on my porch. Do alot of heavy thinking while I smoke. Try to solve the worlds problems which usually means I puff too much and have to slow down.

Don't know that I'd qualify it as "like", but I've been studying for the A+ certification exam during my smoking sessions lately. The tough chapters took about an hour; the more familiar stuff took about a half hour, so I got 1-2 chapters done per bowl. Now I'm ready to start the practice exams...
And after that, it's Network +. Unless I just blow off the afternoon and head over to the B&M to hang out for an hour or so.

I smoke while I do most everything! Usually six to eight bowls per day. I do enjoy relaxing with a drink and puffing while watching NASCAR.

Watch movies, read, write, play video games, sit on the porch and stare into space, fish, you name it. Just about everything is better when you've got a pipe to puff on.

I can't do anything while smoking other than sit and think. Maybe sip a drink, but that's about the extent of it.

I normally smoke a pipe during late afternoon walks with my wife. I also enjoy smoking my pipes while outdoors doing yard work. Fishing, reading, just about any activity is a great reason to pipe up a pipe!

i like all sorts of things while smoking my pipe, work,relax,watch tv, sitting, cleaning pipes, whatever... i just enjoy smoking a pipe anytime.

Six, that is a gorgeous view! I love being outside. I decided when it warms up just a little, I will go on some walks while smoking
