Altinok has a good reputation for his pipes. Barkar's is a Storient. A 2012 Pipes Magazine Storient, to be exact. I'm waiting on one of those, myself! Honestly, you can't lose, either way. Altinok has been around awhile and Storient is something of a rising star. I have yet to hear a disappointed customer from either.

gwtwdbss -
funny - that link you gave has flute music and you look almost like you are playing a flute on your avatar

when i came back here - for a second i thought your avatar was making the music
wow that looks like a big bowl on that PM Cherrywood Poker
i did see that site but i missed that poker - if they would accept paypal i might have looked harder and found it
i don't know why but i don't like anything that is not smooth so i would have tried to find a smooth one anyway

well i guess it is smooth except for the branding ...
man - i really like that music - quite relaxing

ah pooh

i just got an email of processing

in it was this :
We have successfully received your order and processing now.
Please note, if not your pipe was in stock, this means that we will be happily carving a new one for you. As we certainly know that your waiting would be the hardest part, we will do our best to ship your order as soon as possible reserving the fact that the good things require more time to make. We usually finish an order within a month at most. We assure that your wait will be well worth it. Once we have shipped your order, you will receive a notification email that will start your clock for the postman to ring your doorbell.
it might take a while

Yes as others said...PM2012 Cherrywood Poker. Vanilla swirl stem from Storient.

The bowl is about same as yours I think. Camera angle distorts shape a bit.

gwtwdbss is just a happy customer of ours and is not working for us if that is what you are concerned.
no i wasn't concerned about that at all - i wanted to complement you about it - the music is great -
i didn't see that poker and i thought i looked around there pretty well so when i found out there was a poker on your site - i ASSUMED that i didn't check well enough because MAYBE you didn't accept paypal .
ok that is strike two .

now that i went back and checked - i see paypal bright and clear .
also i see that i did not look into the custom section - and there is the poker

i ASSUMED the custom section would be fancy carvings etc .
strike three .
rats - you know - if i would have looked in there and saw that - i may have gotten that one instead

i actually like it better as far as looks - except for the 2012 branding on it .
i don't know why but i like smooth better in general
thanks for setting me straight - if i enjoy the one i am getting from altinok - and i ever decide to get another meerschaum - i will check your site out again and try to PAY more attention next time, PAL

when i get my new one - i am going to change my avatar with it

looks to me that the white pipe gives you that smooth operator look . haha

The Altinook meer should be worth the wait. I had to wait for my Altinook meer to be carved, but it's a nice pipe. I also have a Baki meer and it is a GREAT pipe. Hopefully my Storient will be arriving soon...fingers crossed!

brewshooter sig says ->

Of all tyrannies, ... those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
and in modern times they have used their propaganda and their false flag events and their perennial phantom terrrrrrrist enemies to convince most of us that we prefer their torment over the robber baron's who have heretofore precipitated the beginning of the end of our liberties ... - Ed Logic

Yes, if you remove the stem only turn it clockwise. The same for putting it back on the pipe. Turning it the other way will unscrew the socket in which it is mounter. Do that too many times and the threads will strip. Sinan Altinok seems to be a decent honest businessman.
