Using "Search Forum" Window

I've tried using this function too many times without much success. I wanted to search for the thread "Pictures of Pipe Tobacco" to post a photo of some SG Kendal Plug I just got. When I enter exactly those words, everything BUT the thread I wanted came up. WTF??

Go to the "FORUM CUSTOM SEARCH ENGINE" Thread..... Its a sticky, in the dark shaded area of the page....

I just use google to find what I need in the forum. I think that button is there to fool us, like those buttons in big cities to change the light so you can walk.

Use Google, but also add in the phrase pipesmagazine. Works for me, but of course, YMMV.

Yeah the search forum feature is useless, same with the search member feature, I always use google and enter pipesmagazine in the search.

As mentioned above, someone created a custom search engine located in the sticky threads section right above the main topics section. That one works quite well.

Maybe there's an isolated issue going on ... I entered the exact thread title into the search forum box, and it didn't work.
