I must confess that I was going to be a wiseacre and post a Flipper sound when I came across the following.

Well, I guess I am the poor guy in this group--or maybe the most frugal. I find that the first 3/4" on each end picks up the heavy gunk. So, when used, I clip them off with wire cutters and use each end again. Then fold and swab out the bowl. Then reverse the fold and swab out again with the clean side. Throwing away a pipe cleaner that is only partially used is like knocking out a bowl only half smoked and see that little mound of good tobacco destined to be thrown away.

All things I undertake must contain integrity, compassion, elegance and grace.

I do the flip and twist, and then I finish off with a Q-Tip. One end swabs the shank and the other for the inside of the stem where the filter goes.

I do as Sundowner........ I'm a flipper and a clipper. I as well clip off the ends after running them thru the first time on each end. I just clip them thill they are too short too use anymore.

Seldom. I usually feed the cleaner in through the button, and pull it through the bowl with a needlenose pliers. Sorry guys, I only go one way.

Interesting, I never thought of clipping them. I may have to start doing that. I'm not cheap, just too lazy to go down to the B&M to buy more. Well, that and I guess I'm a little cheap.

Uh, yeah, that is the downside, you knew there was a downside...
The drawer where I keep my new and used cleaners, at my kitchen area desk smells pretty rough when I open it. Got to remember NOT to do that when the wife is in the kitchen....

I detach the bit and run a pipe cleaner through it first, I go in through the tenon then when it's coming out the button I grab it and pull it side to side, then flip it and do the shank.
Then I take another pipe cleaner and double it to scrub the inside of the shank better, then swab the bottom of the bowl.
This sounds wasteful, but I buy the bristle pipe cleaners by the box to save money.
I just bought a box of 48 bundles of 44 Zen cleaners from Amazon for $35 delivered.
I'll probably sell half of the box on eBay a few bundles at a time so the other 24 bundles are free.
The bundles retail for $2.95 so buying them in bulk makes each bundle only cost 73 cents.
That makes them only 1.65 cents each.

Flip, clip, flip again and clip again. Use a paper towel twisted into a tight roll to "screw" into the bowl as the bent clip does not get as much moisture.

When I'm done with pipe cleaners I bend it into a circle and roll it for my cat to play with. She plays with dirty cleaners never with clean ones.

Flip it, bend it in half and clean the bowl or even the shank depending how much cleaning it needs. I feel better when I use the entire pipe cleaner.
