This tin, with 15 years of age on it, is just outstanding. Almost jet black it is similar, to my tastes, to SG St.James flake only way better in this vintage. It tastes kind of like dark chocolate covered raisins. It really is a wonderfully tasty treat that I'm braving bitterly cold temps to enjoy. I'm also fortunate to have a tin in 2000 and 2002 as well as one from 2011.

I'm tempted by the current version, though I often age a tin a year or two getting around to it. So many blends,

so little time.

I have a 1995 tin of St James Woods in the cellar. I am waiting until it has 20 years on it before I crack it open. I'm glad to hear you are enjoying you 15 year old tin!!!!
