Any Stanwell owners, which of these two lines smokes better?
They are exactly at the same price ($65), so I'd like to know which is the better smoker.

Don't over think it. Quality difference in differing lines often is a result of grain or pitting. Pick the one that really catches your eye. The difference of whether a pipe smokes good or not is typically technique.

Embers, I've read that the Danske Club line was inferior, that's why this question came up...
Previously I would never really even try to figure out how the pipe would smoke. Reading that would ending up bothering me.

Speaking from owning 24 different lines in the same Savinelli shape, the only difference I've found is the cosmetic appearance of the briar. Inferior would not be a term I would use for lower priced lines. Blemished would be more accurate. As long as the airway is open and clear, it will smoke just fine. Unless you are looking for good grain, then you'll be opting for the upper grades.

Put another way, I get the same satisfying smoke from either of these.
