I've been a Washington Capitals fan since the early 1980's, and I last watched them play in the Stanley Cup finals in 1998. Tonight, they earned Lord Stanley's Cup.

Glad to see Ovie win it this year. He deserved it as well as the rest of the team! The Capitals have had some great teams over the last handful of years but they seemed to choke year after year. It's nice to see them get it this time. Congrats to your team.

I was rooting for them mainly because I didn't want to see an expansion team win it in their first year. It was cool to see Vegas put together the run they did though. Ovi and Holtby and the rest of the team definitely deserve it! Congrats!

That was a very exciting game yesterday! I was kinda of hoping for a Capitals loss so I could watch one more game, but I was rooting for them the whole time. Congrats Capitals!
(I was wondering if anyone was gonna post about the Stanley Cup....now for some Nadal action at the French Open today!)

We're going on vacation on Tuesday, to the Gulf Shores with my daughter..so guess what I'll miss. But,I'll be with my granddaughter and wearing our caps hats.

Congratulations to the caps. As someone Born and Raised in Las Vegas it was extremely fun watching my Golden Knights play and help heal a city.
I didn't know jack shit about hockey six months ago and now I'm a fan for life.
I am very disappointed by all the hate our expansion team gathered from the old guards of hockey, but that's on them.

Helluva series, one of the best in years. And congrats to the Caps, they really put out.
The LV team has more than its share of thugs, and I don't like them also because they smoked my Sharks. So, boo-hooo for me; sore loser.
I suppose it's good for hockey that we have teams in places that couldn't grow natural ice ever, but the original six are classic. Be interesting to see if LV can support the team long term.

As an Oiler fan MSO, I can assure you that series did happen.
Ashdigger, I'm not sure there was much animosity towards the Golden Knights. Local media here was just sitting back and watching the magic unfold. Perhaps different in some US markets?

I definitely rooted for the Knights all year,they were supposed to be the underdogs, but never played like it.

Some of my friends went to a regular season game in Vegas and had a blast (and the Knights beat us bad).

Hockey is probably the most exciting game when seen in person. It is easy to get hooked on it. With all the visitors to LV, many being hockey fans from home, I think the team will draw well. I mean if Nashville can do it so can Las Vegas.

Congrats to Cap fans. I was rooting for them seeing as my Bruins are also from the east. I hate seeing the west win anything and would not have liked seeing an expansion team win the cup. They need to pay their dues for 20 plus years.
