It was pretty much a spring day here in Oklahoma! Beautiful, and a perfect day for an outdoor smoke!
Oh I cant wait to mow my yard and spend the 3 hours every weekend that it takes to do it right in 90 degree heat with humidity .Oh joy happy days are here again .Last year I tried to let it go back to forest but I got a letter . Lets see I will need , Weed and feed,roundup ,gas , a new blade ,a spark plug , etc etc etc .
I'm in favor of at least 3 more months of winter ...with plenty of snow.
Since I'm retired, I don't have to shovel snow if I don't want to. :nana:
But I will have to do the fertilizing, weeding, trimming, grass cutting chores when Spring springs. :crying:

Lawn, commonly known as snow storage area in this part of the country is slowly becoming visible.
It's 10 am and over 70 degrees already. This could be a shorts and flip-flops day!
I wanna mow green grass so bad I can't stand it.
Wash my car in the hot, hot sun...making sure my beer's done before it get's hot too.
And I wanna watch the Cub's beat the bejeazus out of the Cardinals... and then go fall asleep out by the pool.

Finally mowed the yard yesterday for the first time this year, kinda wish I had a big yard so that I could buy a Forrest Gump Snapper model and enter the Zen mowing state that he creajted. :worship:
After seeing the price of new mowers .I broke down and put a new crank ,rod and piston in my old one . Picked up ten rose bushes for 25 bucks ,trouble is the place that sold them too me does not know what color they are . Watching my daughter push the wheelbarrow full of mulch was priceless .
Speaking of roses IGLOO, we found double bloom knockout roses to Texas heat tolerant and bloom almost year round here.
