had some house guest last night, and this morning in hurry to pick up some stuff for breakfast I hit said guest's car with my own. Good news is I only have a $500 deductible, bad news is I have a $500 deductable. Some days you need a few more bowls than usual, today is one of those days!

How bad was the damage? i learned long ago that a $500 was essentially useless because I would never go through insurance for anything under a few grand in any event. If you go through insurance, you get hammered by the insurance company, at least in Canada where I live. So I increased my deductible on all my vehicles to $2500.

its one of those where the deductable makes it worth while. Thankfully my company looks at my history and won't be raising my rates.
