I have recently acquired this particular Canadian TV series, Slings & Arrows starring Paul Gross (of Due South fame). The show is only 3 seasons and 18 episodes; it follows to story line of a Shakespearean Theatre company working through 3 main plays. Paul Gross stars as a former actor who went mad during his own role of Hamlet who has taken over the Artistic Director's role at the New Burbage Theatre.
Having seen all of Due South multiple times and a few other gems from Paul Gross (Gunless), I am thoroughly enjoying this dark yet funny series. The writing is sharp and the characters are great.
Take it in if you get a chance; but I'll encourage you not to quit too early - the first couple of episodes are backstory heavy.
