tjameson, that is about my favorite Tsuge I've seen. I'm not grabbed by their high end pipes

so much, don't like the billiards with the bamboo and flowers on the bowls, and their very

best, I'd prefer something else in that price range. Their little pots and brandies are nice,

though some people have found stinger in the stems, which isn't what I'd want. I did like

their little low-end bulldogs; that was a really nice pipe, and price. But this is just a beauty.

Love the trimness and spareness of it. Perfect pipe for Virginias. Good catch!

This one had a stinger but it just slips out. The first time I smoked it was strange. Then I broke it down to clean it saw the stinger and pulled it out. Its been my best smoker ever since. I really wish they still had this model. Id probably have sold a bunch of crap and bought out their lot. I love it that much and at the very least I wish I had the sandblasted version too.

Thanks tjameson. It is a very cool smoker for as short as it is, and I can puff away and the bowl just gets comfortably warm. I smoke latakia blends in it, BTW.

I too wish I had gotten the sandblast when it was available, for the pair. What a nice pipe it is for the price. Smokes well too. I wouldn't mind having a Stanwell in that shape, but they seem to be much larger than the Tsuge.

Here are my two.
The Tsuge Tankard with 250 smokes behind her.

The bamboo shanked Tsuge probably a tribute to the Ballerina shape.

Both are excellent smokers.

Just got my Tsuge metal blowfish in the mail - still haven't smoked it yet, as it's a push-mount and I didn't want to chance having it come apart while shoveling snow... Maybe next weekend.

Note the tub of Sugar Barrel in the background. I need to pick up some small canning jars this weekend, too.

Side view. It's my first pipe that came with a sock.

It's quite diminutive - definitely my smallest pipe.

I have been eyeing Tsuges and I'm glad to know they smoke well, including their lower/mid level pipes. Never smoked a Tsuge so my PAD for these pipes are calling out even more. All the ones you guys have posted are really nice.
Phred: I'd love to know how that one smokes. Let us know when you finally light it.

That Whaler is way too cool. That's the first one of those I have seen. Definitely a keeper...
