Since the tamper exchange is coming to an end, and some people have posted pictures of their tampers they made, I figured I'd bump this.
I use a simple Brebbia pipe nail, but I had some "Ebay Bucks" that were going to expire, so I snagged this one:
The first two are mine, the other is one I gave to Kevin to match his Black Panel Dunhill.
All are carved from Ebony.

05venturer has a point, the point of his golf tee. I own several pipe nails and several Czech pipe tools, two of them more than 70 years old, but
the beauty of the golf tee (and I don't happen to play golf though my dad, father-in-law, brothers-in-law etc., do) ... the beauty is that a few
golf tees left around in strategic places in kitchen drawers and glove compartment provide a simple way to have a pipe tool without constantly
losing the "real" pipe nails and Czech tools. Fore!

I was JUST about to do that... I will anyway, lol! It's a good option while driving, although never for char light. Ouch.
OK, one of these tampers is x-rated. I found all 3 of these in a store in the UK when I was travelling there on business. I will let you guess which one is x-rated.
