I think most of us would say "yes" to that pipe.

If I was on an island ... I’d be happy to have just Lovat and Lovat-Hybrid shaped pipes. You did good. Enjoy Duane!

It's one of Bruce's strawberry wood pieces. Popped up on eBay nearly a year ago, and it never sold. The seller finally opted to auction, and I took the bait. Weaver number 8 on the way here!

I was going to ask if it was strawberry.. it LOOKS like a strawberry!

I have but one Weaver and Im constantly amazed by how effortless it smokes.

Yep, wanted to spend more time with his family, though his pipes still pop up frequently. Still a poker and cutty on ebay.

Some of us are never looking for a new pipe, but when one throws itself on our lap... hey, we have to pull the trigger. Very nice strawberry blast strawberry wood Weaver. You'll need strawberry tobacco for of course or it won't fire up correctly.

The strawberry burl billiard arrived today, and it is massive. Very light compared to its size though.

    And the family shot.

That's also the order that they were commissioned or purchased in. I can see a definite evolution of interest in the years that I've been accumulating his pipes.

    Very nice, CE.

After some time he felt for his pipe. It was not broken, and that was something. Then he felt for his pouch, and there was some tobacco in it, and that was something more. Then he felt for matches and he could not find any at all, and that shattered his hopes completely.

Different smokers buy pipes differently, but for those who are sufficiently interested in pipes and tobacco to frequent a forum I don't think there is much chance to stop buying either. There's too much stimulation on both sides. I'm still quit but the prices on the Rolando pipes that Marty Pulvers has been posting have been tempting nonetheless. Plus, everyone else is buying more pipes and tobacco, why not me? Plus we adore smoking, and we want to widen the scope off that adoration.

Plus Bruce and I have been friends for years, and since his retirement from making pipes last year, I'm compelled to find them. Guess it's sort of like those that hunt unicorn tobacco.
