I really like the Savinelli Roma. They have dark stained rustication, cool smooth stained rims and nice vulcanite stems. I have 4 of them now. I am having fun with this.

The 313 prince has a very small bowl which has been smoking nice with Gaslight. I bought the 706 as a Bing shape and the 114KS is a favorite of mine which I refer to as the "Graham Chapman" shape. Finally I grabbed a 320 in the sale last weekend.

That's a nice little set you've got going... Next up should be a 305/316KS model

One of these days I'm going to get the Roma 706 to go along with my Boswell Bing and Sav Bing. The Prince looks good and that is on my list also. I like those pencil shanks. Takes me back to the 50's.

I don't like a lot of the rustication styles out there, but that rustication is really cool! It reminds me of hammered metal.

I love a matching set of pipes. That's a great start. I usually do "same pipe, different finishes" but 'same finish, different pipes" is every bit as interesting. I have to agree. That Roma series are handsome pipes. A seven day set will make a nice center piece for your collection. Problem is I never want to stop there! Dutch

Those are nice pieces. I like really like the smooth rims on blasted or rusticated pipes. A long with the thin gold band and logo, it makes for a really classy looking pipe, but without being too flashy.

Great looking set of pipes. You've chosen some very nice shapes. Are you shooting for a 7 day set? :puffy:

Those are great looking pipes! I like the Roma line too, very classy looking and good smokers. I currently have only one, a shape 627. It's a bent egg with a kinda diamond shape stem. (how's that for a description?) It's not a very big pipe, but I smoke it quite often as I like it's light weight, and the general feel in the hand.

Keep having fun with this!

4 is enough for now. I need to break these in. I will try to stop for now.
How do you keep the rims so pristine?
2 of them are brand new and un-smoked. The other 2 have only been smoked a few times. I take good care of my pipes, but I'm sure they will start to darken.
