I'm very curious about both the 105 and 706 shapes. I think the 105 maybe too small but I am curious as to peoples opinions on them.
I've noticed a few posts about them here but not many. It seems the 706 is very similar to the Dunhill 4110 which is a nice looking pipe.
Here's a Dunhill 4110 on Al Pascia.

I bought a Sav 706 back in April and it's a great smoker. Drilling was perfect and passes a pipe cleaner with ease. It's perfect for clenching it is so light. The length is similar to the Bing pipe, but just a tad shorter. It has that 1950's look and feel about it. Might have to get a Sav 105 because I like the smooth bowl.

Ray that's exactly what I like about them. Light weight with some decent length to it and straight instead of the curved bing model.
The 105 I think is pretty similar just on a smaller scale.
I'm liking this 105:

Adam I'm not sure yet if there is such a thing as being too small although in general I prefer very light pipes but with a reasonably sized bowl. I'll let you know if I ever buy a 105 if it's too small.
Also at some point I think I'll have to have you make me a bing style pipe.

105's and 109's are my favorites, but really look at those measurements as they are small. I still get 1hr+ out of my 109 though.
