I'm on a Sasieni roll to kick off the new year! I was delighted to find this bent billiard to be quite small, only weighing 35 grams. I'd never seen a Regent before and expected a larger size like the Stratford, etc. The full restoration details are at the Reborn Pipes blog site:

An easy restoration, with a beautiful blue dot stem.

What a lovely way to start the new year. Congratulations!
I have a soft spot for the Regent model, as a few years back I purchased a smooth version (sans stem) from Pipestud. Mike Myers of Walker Briar Repair subsequently fitted it with a beautiful hand-cut stem, complete with four appropriately colored blue dots, and it has become a favorite. May yours become likewise.

Nice Al, really nice blast on that pipe. Another fan of the Regent shape 16. :)

Wouldn't it be fun if the stems were swappable?
Too much fun could be had at a show, Mr. Jones.

I have no doubt that they would be. Al's original appears to have more curvature than the one which Mr. Myers made for me, as all he had to go by was an image which I sent to him. He nailed the button, matching the one on the stem of a family-era Sasieni which I provided, and which he returned with the new stem.

@georged - I'm pretty fond of Sasieni stems, so it would be tough to me get me to swap that one! Frank had nothing on those blue dots.
@huntertrw - Mike made me a new stem for a James Upshall B a few years ago (cumberland). I had him replicate the original stem (silver spigot) and he nailed it.
