1 Just finshed . Found out that a round diamond hack saw blade

will help stem fit flush.

I like the idea for this one Joe.

That's certainly unique. I like unusual pipes. Looks like something fit for smoking in the freight car.

There's nothing like listening to the rumble of the wheels

on the tracks and the whistle blowing.

I would like to change my name to Railroad Joe.

Wish I could find a link to "Mary Lane" off his album "Balin". A song about a hobo having a tough time ~ "Hey there, ho, I'm coming in, you'll get no trouble from me. I aint police, and I aint no railroad man. I could just use a cup of coffee, have you got anything to eat? Coming in from Mary Lane, I been sleeping in the rain, I got all mixed up, I got on the wrong train. I aint ate in 30 hours, except some biscuits that was stale, I got jumped just outside of Fort Worth, at least they didnt throw me in jail. Throw another piece of wood on that fire if you could, Lord I never been so tired in my life."

Heres a link to download the album for $5, hope you like them

Forgot to mention, Fred also does a few tours on historic Railroads. They do the narrow gauge Durango to Silverton, then do a concert in Silverton from time to time. A few years ago they did a 7 day Churchill to Winnipeg Manitoba "Polar Bear" train tour, playing every night and hanging out with folks on the train during the day.

He's also held shows at the North American Railway Hall of Fame in Ontario.

He's a hell of songwriter, if you like real country songs.

Thanks Lonestar for the links.

Everyone on my personal/family an in-law e-mail list

Loved the link also. My dad loved trains and was in the CCC,s

in Florida and a lot jumped trains to get from camp and home and back.

He could read the hobo signs also.

The new Lutz people out voted the old lutz people and stopped the trains

from using there whistle.
My pipes will never be anything like pipes suppose to be.My leather work is non

traditional also. I guess all 50 years of following rules on customer service

I am not going by guide lines anymore.

Glad you like the links Joe.

I used to haul cotton from west Texas to the BNSF Railhead in Fort Worth, that and Fred Eaglesmith songs got me interested in trains.

If you dont mind me stealing the idea from you, I might try to make a lantern pipe when I've got my shop tooled up.

Lonestar,

Go on and do it. I do things that relate to whats relates to me and mine.

You Truckers made my living selling you parts. From hydraulic brakes to air brakes.

40 years and I am 65. I was called Mr. Brake Man and Bronco. Bronco by the ladies.

You can buy a nice pipe and you can't give away pipes that reflects your life.

The belts-flasks and wallets i do reflects the persons life.

May not be the best, but man they use them and are happy.

As my Leather mentor says. Do it you ain't no good at traditional.

Hobo " from kokomo " Joe
