Good thing I'm not one of those guys who hates Ketchup! Whatever the reason, this has plenty of that vinegar-esque smell in the tin.
Oh, before I forget, thanks to Skraps for sending me some of this blend!
Ok, got it in the pipe and lit. Tiniest bit of bite. I'm getting a flavor that reminds me of a fresh plum, but it is not an offensive or explosive fruitiness, just a hint. There's also a bit of mild chocolate floating around in the taste. These flavors quickly evolve until the virginia comes through with a surprisingly complex grass/hay that appears a bit leathery. Very nice. Sweeter than expected.
Some spice coming in now, just a tad on the tongue. Tin note pokes through here and there, it is a pleasant diversion from the usual flavor I find in VaPers. As I dig further into the bowl, I'm greeted by an oakiness which appears to have replaced the leather. To the end of the bowl the level of sweetness varies some, but the flavor remains solid.
A good smoke, thanks Skraps!

This is one of those tobaccos that lets me know I'll be ok after 2018

2018 will be when pipe smoking returns to it's working man roots and the death blow to the bourgeois.
