So I've been looking for a clay for a while and I finally got my change together and bought a 16" tavern pipe from Penn Valley Pipe & Tobacco or pipeshoppe.com. The pipe is wonderful! Smokes great and looks great. I paid a total of 25$ for it which included shipping to Canada. The service was outstanding. Fast and informative emails. I've never had such a personal buyer experience for 25$. I wanted to share this because I am very happy with my new pipe. I highly recommend them.
Now a little more about the pipes. I was happy to know all their pipes are made in USA. And for reasonable prices. You can get a clay for 10$ easily. A must in a rotation. This was my first clay. I was surprised how dry and cool the smoke was. The clay is incredibly absorbant. So forget gurgle. The pipes qre, of course, very delicate. I should have bought two because I know this one will eventually break haha.
