A search of all Manufacturers and Distributors of Tobacco and Tobacco Related Products from 1742 thru 1965 shows no listing for Grand Rapids. So, probably not.
When I lived in GR, I remember it being known for making fine furniture, but not any pipes. Would have loved to see Carl Forslund Furniture make some pipes, as they made some really nice furniture out of cherry wood. (but I think they're long gone now)
