It took some time but at last I've found a great bulldog for my little Peterson collection. I really like saddle bit bent dogs but I fell in love with the grain on this pipe and now after seeing it in person I'm not so much against the thick stem which seems to carry the lines of the diamond shank well even as a bent. The Flame Grain line by Peterson's are not high grades but the briars are singled out for their exceptional grain patterns. A flaw or two might keep them from becoming a pipe costing hundreds of dollars more and thats fine by me. This pipe has got more than enough class for this working man.

Thanks guys. Dave it's a new one from Cup O' Joes. I bid on a Ferndown bulldog the other day but lost it so with the PAD spell still strong I had to go for this Pete. :)

Gorgeous grain! I want that bad now but with the pipes I am currently buying it will have to wait for another day.

Hope she smokes well and happy puffing! :puffy:

That does have some beautiful grain. I may have to check out the flame grain line for my first Pete.
