Looking to determine if these pipes are made from block meerschaum or the lower grade pressed stuff. Does anyone have a definite answer?

love my Peterson meer, its definitely block.

From my understanding Peterson traditionally used African Meerschaum for a lot of their meerschaum pipes. Most were made on the Isle of Mann at the Manx Meerschaum Factory. My two Peterson Meerschaum Pipes are African Meerschaum and they are block.

I have two, one identical to josephcross, and they are block. I have never heard mention that Peterson ever used anything but block meerschaum.

The 1 I still have is African block. But, did buy 1 years ago which was apparently pressed with a threaded tenon. Rather liked it but the the thing got stripped.

Id love to get another PeteMeer in one of the Sherlock shapes. Fishnbanjo posted a picture of his a while back and Ive been wanting one ever since.
