Many of us are aware of the awesome German tobacco, Motzek Strang rope. It has a signature taste, something I can't identify that is distinct to only that blend. I'm shocked I've not seen/heard more about this other German blend, Directors Cut. If you love the Strang, you owe it to yourself to order Directors Cut. It has that exact same thing I can't identify, only more of it. It's a more full flavored German blend. It's cut in random small coins that have been rubbed out. It smokes PERFECTLY straight from the tin with no work or drying needed. It is the best tobacco I've ever purchased. It is a VERY full flavored, slightly sweet, spicy Va/per that belongs on every Va/Per fans top five list.

It's FAR easier to order than Strang. If you place an order and then email Hans, he'll allow you to pay with PayPal and it takes just over a week to arrive. He can fit up to 9 100g tins into one box, anymore and shipping goes up substantially.

I'm fairly certain it's rum, but it's just so good. I've had run flavored tobacco, but the Germans are doing something different.

It is one of my favs. Very complex blend.

Besides that I strongly recommend Sunset, Haymaker, Indaba... all great blends.

I got mine a few days ago, and it has a beautiful texture when you rub it out. You really don't have to rub it out though. It smoked fine when I loaded it right out of the tin. Tasty and slightly spicy. Everyone can blame thank Nate for this one.

Consider me a fan, too and I also enjoy this more than the current batch of Strang I recently purchased. There is a casing on DC that is very subtle but absolutely delicious! Damn fine stuff and one of the better VaPers out there. It's too bad it isn't available in the States. I also love that it's ready to smoke right out of the tin and I love, love, love the style of tin it comes in, you can do long term storage, no need to transfer to a jar.

bigpond, when I ordered the site does not put in the shipping cost. Hans sent me an email and estimated the shipping cost at 18.90 euro's or 21.27 U.S. dollars. He just sent me an email and I had to cancel 1 50gm tin as it made the weight just over the limit to keep the shipping cost at $21.27 U.S. I thought this might happen since I was ordering several 50gm tins instead of the 100gm ones. So if you order separate tins other than the 100gm ones you have to keep the order at 850 gms in total.

It's really is a good deal since shipping to Switzerland is also EUR 18.90. I thought I was being clever by ordering some from Hans thinking the shipping would be lower since Switzerland borders Germany and would avoid the VAT, but since Switzerland is not in the EU it's a flat rate EUR 18.90 whether its Switzerland or the US. I'll be ordering more when I get back to the US since it appears one can order 900 grams of the stuff and not pay any US customs duty. In Switzerland the customs limit is 250 grams and, like all things related to Swiss law, is strictly enforced.
