Novelty Pipes!

In my accumulating meanderings, I've managed to collect a couple kitchy novelty pipes. I'm not on the lookout for them, per se, but when they present themselves, and the price is right, here's what happens:

"Custom Made" and "Algerian Briar" are the only stampings. Does anyone have any more info on this pipe?

Pretty cool. I've seen similar head pipes, but the one on the bottom is very different. What are they made of?
edit- duh, briar. I missed the text in between the images. Very cool!

Yeah, they are neat.

Next, I'll start collecting the semi-rude Americana pipe rests and ashtrays!

Now that's awesome!! I used to have a few similar ashtrays that had very erotic Japanese carvings on them, but once I had kids in the house they disappeared.

Very cool I tried for a nice comet metal pipe it looked really neat but the price went to high for me.

The pipe with the face sculpture actually seems to have quite a bit of smoking on it. The others, as far as I can see,

don't. I doubt I'd reach for a carved bowl often, but I don't know why.

I feel the same way, but I am going to smoke the Indian. Doesn't that sound like some kind of rude euphemism, "Smoke the Indian"? "Yeah, we caught him out behind the barn, smokin' the Indian" or "Gee, SueAnne, I thought we could go into town and get a malt then hang out in the alley and smoke the Indian".
Anyway, c'mon.
