The other night on the premier pipe chat forum on the internet ( http://us20.chatzy.com/thebriarpatch ) we were talking about what wonderful pipes S Bangs were. And then last night the stars aligned and I was fortunate to get a great deal on this S Bang Grade A:

I am looking forward to get this one, especially since it weighs in at only 46 ounces.

I've always been intrigued by this maker. One of the Philly club regulars seems to smoke nothing by S. Bangs. We have the same SmokinHolsters bag, but his is filled with S. Bangs.... This did allow me to examine some up close, amazing craftsmanship. I'm curious to hear how you find this one smokes and stacks up to your Cookes, etc.
