Just found this piece while looking for something else and just coul not help my self. I love spigots and military mounts.

Does it look right?

From the letter "S" in the hallmarks I gather it was made in 1992.

'73 and '92 are pretty close in style, but I think you are right, 1992. I didn't realize that BBB was making silver-spigot pipes in modern times, interesting!

Neither did I. I was quite surprised when I found this one.
There are three published in Alpascia hallmarked "P" for 1989. So far this is the only reference I could find (http://www.alpascia.com/pipes/l/BBB).
Here's one of the pics in their site. There are photos of the hallmarks for all three pipes, all 1989.

Many makers had lines that were only sold in specific markets. The Italian market had a strong appetite for sterling.

Thank you guys! It is a good looking pipe and so far looks like it is going to become a great smoker, but I'm not too sure about the authenticity of the finish and cannot find any references or images. Cheers, J
