Well, just got the Nording Compass I ordered last week and as I was giving it its pre-smoke clean and disinfect, I got this after wiping the bowl. Gross.
Got the stain on my fingers and even after two hand washings I still had some left in my pinkie, which is the one I used to insert the paper towel into, given the bowl's narrowness:
Is this stain? Coating?
I've got dark smears on paper towel before upon first cleaning new bowls, but never this—certainly never anything that would stain my fingers beyond a single hand wash.
Is it a concern? I'm almost afraid to smoke this pipe now...
