So I finally made it to work today and my box from Pipes & Cigars arrived in good shape. The packing was fine and the contents of the box had not shifted or had any issues that I could see. I inspected the pipe closely after reading Eric's post about issues with shipping pipes from P&C and all looks to be fine physically in terms of damage. However, the drilling is offset a fair bit, it shoots off to the left rather noticeably in the bowl. I can pass a pipe cleaner through with no issues whatsoever, but I'm not sure if this offset drilling will affect its smokeability? Should I return the pipe or should it smoke ok? It doesn't bother me asthetically that it is offset, just want to make sure it smokes properly. Some pictures below.

It's definately off, but I doubt you'll notice any change in smoking experience.
It's damn close though lol.
I would personally keep it. Savs smoke great.
If it concerns you, or you do not want to take the risk, send it back.

Its a factory made Sav, I paid $100 for it so it's definitely not an artisan. I don't care as long as it smokes as it should. I'm new so wasn't sure if the drill being off by that much would affect it's performance.

I don't think being off a little left to right will generally make as big a difference as being drilled too high and having space underneath the hole. Personally, I probably wouldn't have given a second thought to that pipe.

I don't think you will have any issues with the performance of the pipe at all. Sav's are great smokers, I have 2 and plan to buy a couple more.

Thanks for the input Gentlemen, a pipe cleaner passes no problem and it is definitely at the bottom of the bowl. I look forward to the drive home!!!!

Enjoy it! I've definitely had pipes off by that little bit or more that were just fine. When the hole is any more than about a sixteenth of an inch high, I tend to get gurgling problems.
