just won this Dunhill CK a few hours ago. CK has always been my favourite shape, I have another Bruyere in hand and now a Shell. Hope I could obtain a Root soon.

Welcome Club CK! Wow, 1950, that might be the oldest model I've seen?

No one seems to know the origin or when the shape was first introduced.

That's a great blast! Congratulations.

Had my eye on that one, even threw down a bid but it went waaay over what I was willing to spend.
Last year at Chicago I became a member of the CK Club, ssJones, as I was so very lucky to purchase a 1950 CK from a dear friend who was selling off many pipes from his amazing collection, including many 1950 Dunhill's (his birth year) and all in pristine condition and this was one of them; a 1950 CK from his birth year in incredible condition.
This pipe has no Root or Bruyere stamping to denote that it's a smooth. I believe it predates the CK stamping with either.
Enjoy your CK, lucilucius it's a wonderful shape! Next, take a look at Sasieni Ashford's, very close in shape and just as rare and desirable!

@skaukatt there must be an A or R on your CK for sure?
actually I’m looking for a Comoy’s 256 since Comoy’s is also my favourite brand. Sasieni, not really. I once tried to obtain some one-dot and eight-dot but at the end, I decided to let it go.

That is just a fantastic pipe. Congratulations! Actually, both of them are stunning.
I'm going to go sit in the fireplace and rub ashes in my hair now to make me feel less envious, LOL.
Before anyone asks - Yes, the ashes will be Dunhill, of course.

Okay, now there's three of them and I'm officially going to go sit in the fireplace and light myself on fire instead. That's the only cure for PAD at this level.
