My Momma's Birth Year Pipe

My mom passed away 3 years ago next month. I was perusing Steve's (Pipestud) auctions this week when I should have been paying attention to my tutor training. I saw a 1943 Dunhill. Well it's a wartime Dunhill that is also my momma's birth year. I had to have it:

I was so stoked to win it that I wasn't that upset when my internet stopped working and I didn't get to bid on the Upshall pot that I was hankering for as well.

That's a great remembrance. I have a 1943 Dunhill that is my mother's birthyear also. Interestingly my late father was born in 1938, so I actively seek out pipes from that year.

Very cool! I have a 1915 Barling, which was my father's birth year and am keeping an eye out for a 1919 Barling, which was my mother's birth year.
