I commissioned a custom cob from Mr. Ricardo Santia and he delivered. Big time. I didn't expect it to be a giganto cobwarden, so that was a happy surprise.
It is in a sense however, an anti-cob. Corncob pipes are supposed to be cheap, light, tough, and practically disposable. Aside from the fact that they smoke incredibly well, most folks just get them as a beater pipe they don't have to worry about breaking or losing them.
I'm almost scared to smoke this thing, it's just so damn fancy! (no I'm not)

Wow, that is an absolutely beautiful cob! I love cobs and I'm officially jealous of that pipe! I would imagine if that cob ever burns through (i'm guessing it would take many many years) you could just take that bamboo shank off and put it on another cob (i could be wrong though). Either way, enjoy that great cob!

 I saw the pictures of that pipe earlier on FB, love it.

I have a similar one, they do smoke nice with those long bamboo shanks.

Awesome cob. Any idea how it is stained? There was an earlier thread about customizing a cob at home using a sharpie. Thinking this is not that.
