They were owned and operated by Jonathan Lavezzo, but are now made by Briar Works. I have a few from before Briar Works took over, and they're good pipes. I've only heard good things about Briar Works, so I assume they're just fine. If they ever bring back the Deviled Egg (not the regular Devil Anse) I'll jump on it because I love mine. Lavezzo discontinued the shape before Briar Works took over.
Johnathan was a decent carver. Briarworks was supplying and doing some of his pipes before he sold to them even though. With Briarworks you know you're getting good quality.

Looks like they have 3 new options available.
They re-released the Deviled Egg shortly after I made that post.... I like to think they read my post and said, "Yes. We should do that."
I have their Devil Anse and think it is a fine smoker. I have other Briarworks pipes and the Moonstones are of equal quality imho.
