Damnit!!! Perusing Smokingpipes estate section when you really don't want to make a purchase... it's a bad move. I had them place it on hold for me. It's a rare day that you happen upon an Estate Michael Parks. I'm weeks away from my receiving and paying for my Parks commission so buying another Parks pipe seems redundant, but I'd hate myself for missing out on a $450 Michael Parks :( they're holding it for a bit so I have time to ponder things.

It is a beauty but it brings up a question- is the very thick wall on a number of new pipes I've seen a somewhat new 'thing'? Surely it's been done decades ago, but there seem to be quite a lot with large bowls and relatively small chambers.

I agree that its a nice looking pipe... Dublin's are not my favorite shape either so I would pass were it ME... well that and it would be too rich for my blood so favorite shape or not, theres that!

Chris, very good advice!
Thanks guys! I've taken it off hold and am not buying it. It's the smart move. I'd grab it were I a wealthier man, alas tis not so. So if anyone wants an awesome Parks Dublin, should be back up on Smokingpipes any moment!
